A 4.7 from nine people and a 4.4 from twenty thousand are not comparable numbers, and sorting by stars alone puts the first above the second every time. The table below shows both, and marks anything under 200 ratings as thin.
One further caveat. Some listings are variants that share a parent listing's rating, which means the same score appears against several different configurations. Those are labelled on their review pages, and the rating should be read as a family score rather than a verdict on one model.

What this table is good for is spotting the gap between reputation and evidence. What it is not good for is picking a camera, because none of these numbers tells you whether the product suits the place you want to put it.
